Risk and Controls Analyst

Our client, a global pharmaceutical organisation, are seeking a Risk and Controls Analyst to sit in their Global Finance function in Stockley Park, Uxbridge.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for planning and executing proactive risk assessments, risk-based controls monitoring plans and compliance initiatives over different business processes to assess control soundness. The Risk Analyst is also responsible for partnering with the process organizations to ensure identified solutions mitigate the risk and implementing key control initiatives associated to corporate policies.

1. Minimum Level of Education

  • Degree in Accounting, post qualified CA, ACCA, CIMA.

    Area of Specialisation
General Ledger, Inventory, 3rd party sales, Inter-Company, SOX testing

Why is this Level of Education Required?

Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Must be numerate with good PC skills. Good Microsoft Excel skills in particular are essential.

2. Preferred Level of Education

ACCA, CIMA or Chartered Accountant - minimum 2 years Post Qualification Experience with previous relevant experience.

Why is this Level of Education Preferred?

Must be familiar and confident with financial accounting systems. Must have good accountancy competencies with strong reconciliation and analytical skills

Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience required

The job holder should have in depth experience of Finance, Accounting and Auditing processes, preferably in a multinational environment. Should have knowledge of SAP finance-related modules, and experience in conducting risk assessments.

Ability to communicate effectively to and influence senior management is required.

Why is this Level of Experience Required?

The function requires to perform assessments within prescribed timelines and hence the requirement for project management skills; credibility with stakeholders is important and in depth understanding of accounting and SAP accounting processes and systems.
