PMO Job Description:

A Major international Company within Financial Services are looking for a PMO.

  • At a team level, playing a consultative role to help put in place the appropriate process, and tools to optimise the efficiency of the teams working practices

  • Financial management - Working with the team to carry out a predefined month end process.

  • Ensure all the forecasts produced by the project managers are consistent and accurate. Provide detailed analysis / exception reporting to project managers to assist them in decision making. To report on forecast versus actual spend for each discretionary portfolio, highlighting trends and noteworthy items. Prepare and present financial reports as needed.

  • Invoices / Purchase Orders - all aspects of Po's / invoicing.

  • Reporting - co-ordinate collation of various reporting for different stakeholders. Apply logic and continuity when stitching together different submissions to ensure a coherent, succinct management report.

  • Resource management - Assist with the management of staff utilisation across relevant portfolios. Close gaps in demand and review over allocations

  • Packs - Provide support in producing draft packs for investment / steering committee meetings.

  • Portfolio management: Facilitating management of the portfolio, including: the investment submission process, prioritisation of projects, review & submission of business cases/funding approvals/change re quests and tracking overall spend

  • Collaborate with our India PMO teams to streamline administrative tasks, ensuring we can maintain focus on guiding delivery.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills and experience of working with senior managers and suppliers

  • Intermediate/advanced Excel experience - comfortable dealing with, and presenting, large amounts of data and Microsoft Expertise including PowerPoint, Vision and Project

    Your skills and experience

  • Strong PMO background, preferably within Technology.

  • Financial reporting experience with an understanding of basic accountancy policies (IT expenditure, different accounting treatments (e.g. accrual, pre-payments, capitalisation etc.) business recharge models and run rate analysis.)

  • Experience in collating reporting packs, assisting in the design and content of packs if necessary.

  • Out-going/assertive and collaborative/partnering approach to working with people

  • Problem solving skills - the ability to rapidly understand complex issues, structure problems, gather creative ideas and deliver workable solutions.

  • Able to operate effectively under pressure, to tight deadlines and to adapt to rapidly changing situations without prejudicing data integrity or quality.



    What makes you stand out from the crowd?

  • Experience working in hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment

  • Good working knowledge of Clarity.

  • Advanced JIRA Experience - for both managing RAID and Dev projects

  • Advanced SharePoint 2013 skills - including setting up and maintaining SharePoint

  • Tool administrator - Responsible for the maintenance of team tools such as Clarity, Jira and SharePoint, ensuring that content and standards co-exist across the department

  • Proven eagerness for continual personal development

  • Change experience in the Financial Services industry who have transitioned from traditional delivery approaches to more agile approaches
