Job Description:

Are you an IT Business Analyst / Requirements Engineer looking for a new challenge? For our client, a leading global bank in Zurich, we are looking for you to be part of the Regulatory Check Engines team within the Global Markets IT department.

IT Business Analyst within Global Markets IT

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage scrum teams capacities and backlog by ensuring readiness of User and Business stories for grooming and planning sessions (therefore must have at least some knowledge & of how this process works; SAFe framework)

  • Prepare and execute grooming and planning sessions

  • Analysing, specifying and documenting high-level business requirements and verifying such requirements with stakeholders (technical and business stakeholders, all levels)

  • Analysing and accepting change requests and coordinating the implementation between various stakeholders

  • Maintaining strong collaboration with developers and testers to ensure quality releases

  • Assisting and participating in any required focus groups, prototyping workshops or system analyses

    Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years' experience working as an IT Business Analyst / Requirements Engineer within the banking industry

  • Possess a compliance background or knowledge of the regulatory and compliance checks

  • Previously worked on MIFID II

  • Ability to gather requirements, write user stories, documentation and functional requirements

  • Previously worked in a Scrum environment with agile methodologies

  • Strong communication skills to speak with both IT (developers) and business stakeholders

  • Experience working in a strong technical environment

  • SAFe framework

  • Strong SQL and database queries skills

    Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Project Management experience

  • Trading experience

  • MicroServices experience

  • Previously worked as a Developer
